Shape the future of finance. Empower people. Make an impact.
At Savant, we believe financial clarity creates life-changing opportunities. Our mission is to help people live their ideal futures, and that starts with a strong, values-driven Finance team. We’re looking for an Accounting Supervisor who is not only a numbers expert, but also a collaborative leader who inspires others, embraces innovation, and thrives in a team-first environment.
This role is perfect for someone who loves blending analytical precision with people leadership — and who is excited to guide both the financial and human sides of accounting. You’ll oversee daily operations, mentor a talented team, and partner across departments to ensure our reporting is accurate, transparent, and strategically aligned.
For nearly 40 years, Savant Wealth Management has served as a trusted advisor to established individuals, families, and businesses seeking clarity and confidence in their financial lives. We are a fee-only, independent, fiduciary wealth management firm providing comprehensive guidance on investments, financial planning, tax and business consulting, estate planning, trust services, and family office support. At the heart of our firm is a culture of lifelong learning—one that values curiosity, continuous improvement, and helping our clients build their ideal futures. If you want to be part of a culture defined by strong values, Savant is right for you.
What You'll Do:
You’ll be the go-to leader for ensuring that our numbers tell the right story — and that our people have the tools, clarity, and confidence to do their best work. Expect to:
-
Lead with purpose: Coach, develop, and empower a team of accountants, setting clear goals and aligning their efforts to Savant’s mission and strategic objectives.
-
Deliver financial excellence: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports) and provide actionable insights on variances.
-
Ensure compliance & readiness: Coordinate internal and external audits, staying current on regulations and adjusting processes as needed.
-
Drive efficiency: Identify process improvements, streamline workflows, and champion new ideas that improve accuracy and operational effectiveness.
-
Partner across the firm: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business goals and strategic projects.
-
Guide the big picture: Contribute to budgets, forecasts, and projections, while monitoring performance and anticipating future trends.
A couple things to note about our Accounting Supervisor position:
-
Location: This position can be based out of any of our regional Chicago offices, with the flexibility to drive to our Rockford, IL and Downtown Chicago location weekly.
-
Work Model: Initially we will expect more in-office time, but once you're fully up and running, we will discuss the potential for you to work in our hybrid model of 3 days in office and 2 from home.
-
Typical Hours: Standard business hours with flexibility based on business needs. At month end and quarter end, some overtime may be required and can come closer to 50 hours weekly.
-
This is a leadership role with both operational and strategic impact, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on accounting with team mentorship.
