Back Office Supervisor

Prism Health is the only nonprofit LGBTQIA+ health center providing comprehensive primary care, behavioral healthcare, and pharmacy services in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, and Idaho). Since opening its doors in 2017, Prism Health has become a model for culturally specific care and now serves over 1,500 patients with a wide range of services, from day-to-day primary care and pharmacy needs to targeted services like gender-affirming care and specialized population health screenings.


 Prism a program apart of Cascade AIDS Project is excited to announce that we are hiring skilled and team-oriented Back Office Supervisor. The Back Office Supervisor oversees and provides leadership to medical assistants and phlebotomists. The Back Office Supervisor works under the guidance of the Cascade AIDS Project/Prism Health Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors and reports to the Practice Administrator. This position plans for and develops the clinical programs and workflows of medical assistant and phlebotomy teams, assuring quality care and continuity for patients and families. They are responsible for guiding/overseeing day-to-day clinical operations and are responsible for all supervisory aspects of their team, including compliance, staff development, and continuing education. This position will also function as the Vaccine Coordinator for their site, ensuring proper vaccine storage, temperature monitoring, coordination with state regulatory agencies, coordination of VAP and other state vaccine programs, and responding to and addressing problems with vaccine storage.

 

This is a Full-Time role working at both Prism Health location on SE Belmont and N Morris St. The schedule for this role is onsite Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

The pay for this position is $74,376 a year.

 

 

Who You Are

  • 3 or more years of healthcare experience. 
  • Highschool diploma. 
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse  
  • Basic Life Support certification. 
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience in the clinical setting.
  • Successful experience working with ethnic, racial, social, economic and sexually diverse populations and strong understanding of issues relevant to PLWHA, gay/bisexual/queer men, transgender individuals, the larger LBGTQ+ community and how those issues affect or influence service delivery. 

 

What You’ll Do

  • Provides leadership and supervision to all medical assistants and phlebotomists with support from Prism Health leadership and the People & Culture team. 
  • Assists in the development and expansion of clinical programs at Prism Health using an evidence-based, trauma-informed foundation, assuring quality care and continuity for patients and families. 
  • Oversees all scheduling and staffing of the MA and Phlebotomy teams. 
  • Addresses and coordinates staff training needs by developing standards and ensuring basic competencies for all staff. Identifies potential problem areas, develops a system for objectively monitoring performance, and creatively seeks solutions to foster quality improvement. 
  • Collaborates with the Director of Healthcare Operations, Director of Behavioral Health, and Medical Director to meet annual quality goals across the continuum of care. 
  • In conjunction with the Front Office Supervisor and Practice Administrator, the oversees day-to-day clinic functioning at both Prism Health locations to ensure safe and efficient patient care is provided.
