What You’ll Do:
- Provides personal hygiene care, including bathing, grooming, shaving, nail and skin care.
- Toilets/assists in bowel and bladder needs: gives bedpans, urinals, assists with toilet/bedside commode use, changes incontinent briefs all with attention to perineal/skin care.
- Help residents dress and eat: assists with meals and feeds residents, monitors feeding to include passing trays, between meal nourishments, supplements, ice water, measuring intake and output, calorie count, determining percentage of meals eaten
- Provides preventative care to include ROM, positioning and repositioning, appropriate application of physical restraints.
- Demonstrates dependability through punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a state approved nurse aid program AND currently listed on the North Carolina State Registry
- Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents and staff, following oral and written directions.
- Lift up to 50lbs continuously and over 100lbs frequently
Desired (But Not Required) Requirements:
- Geriatric experience and CDM
