Gymnastics/Ninja Instructor

What You'll Do

Be a positive role model who creates a safe, exciting environment where children build self-esteem through movement and play. You'll teach gymnastics and ninja skills while bringing energy, creativity, and encouragement to every class.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Leading engaging gymnastics and ninja classes for children of all skill levels
• Creating a supportive atmosphere where every child feels successful
• Ensuring safety through constant supervision and proper technique instruction
• Building relationships with families and fellow staff members
• Keeping detailed attendance records and maintaining a clean, organized gym space
• Developing fresh ideas to keep classes exciting and age-appropriate
• Supporting YMCA fundraising events and community initiatives

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

• At least 15 years old with high school diploma (or currently enrolled)
• Genuine love for working with children
• Strong communication skills with kids, parents, and teammates

Preferred experience:

• 1-2 years as a gymnast or instructor (but we'll train the right person!)
• Background in youth sports, camp counseling, or childcare

Your personality:

• Positive, energetic, and patient
• Creative problem-solver who adapts to different situations
• Reliable team player who shows up ready to make a difference
