We have an opening for team oriented, full-time Dining Room Supervisor for our West Bloomfield Campus. Candidates must be self motivated and service oriented.

Overview:

The Dining Room Supervisor manages all aspects of meal time service and the overall efficiency of the dining room and catering functions. Ensures the efficiency of food services. Accepts responsibility of wait staff, bussers, and host duties in their absence if needed. Working hours for this position will require open availability to holiday’s shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the JSL dining services philosophy and vision.
  • Maintaining a clean, pleasant, and efficient dining room environment, ensuring proper service delivery, and addressing customer concerns
  • Works with management team in supervising schedules, evaluates, trains, hires and disciplines all dining room staff.
  • Maintains effective communication with managers, supervisors, subordinates and all other coworkers.
  • Supervises organization and sanitation of dining room.
  • Shows professional knowledge, proficiency and initiative in achieving goals and meeting standards.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to retain information from training and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • 2 years dining room experience including 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to supervise 10-15 employees while meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Minimum of 1 year overseeing daily operations of a dining area, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for guests.
  • Cooperation with others to achieve an enjoyable dining experience for our residents.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to identify and resolve challenges.
