Purchasing Coordinator

We are currently hiring a Purchasing Coordinator with experience in purchasing, scope writing, and vendor negotiations within a construction or building maintenance environment. 

The Purchasing Coordinator is a member of the Property Services team and will support the Vice President of Property Services by handling recruiting, negotiating, and tracking of contractors and suppliers for 1^st Lake.  The Purchasing Coordinator will also assist in other support areas of the Property Services team. 

Purchasing Coordinator duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Recruiting new contractors and suppliers.
• Negotiating pricing and assisting properties with billing issues.
• Managing vendor information in our systems including, Appfolio, F.I.S.H. and QuickBase.
• Tracking contractor insurance certificates.
• Tracking and oversight of all dumpster contracts and permits.
• Tracking and oversight of all termite contracts.
• Assisting with company-wide purchases.
• Assisting with work orders, team member timecards, and QuickBase.
• Function as backup support in the absence of other members of the Property Services team.

The qualified candidate will have:

• The ability to review contracts and extract pricing relative to the scope of work
• The ability to negotiate pricing that aligns with our established vendor rates.
• Strong knowledge of multifamily housing industry preferred.
