Education & Experience:
- Associates degree from technical school or two-year College with two years of industrial maintenance experience or 5 or more years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
- Experience with MIG preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have the ability to perform manufacturing equipment repairs.
- Strong verbal communication skills to obtain feedback from equipment operators to diagnose issues, provide status reports to management, and work with vendors.
- Written communication skills to provide action reports and daily log sheets.
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, orders, and schematics.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic, plumbing, electrical, and pneumatic systems preferred and how to troubleshoot each.
- Extensive knowledge, ability to operate an ownership of general mechanical tools such as hammers, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and voltmeter.
- Ability to operate a lathe and mill is highly preferred.
- Availability to work on-call at least one weekend a month is required.
- Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift and crane.
Physical Conditions:
- Frequent walking and standing throughout the manufacturing floor.
- Regular standing, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, and maneuvering around/under equipment.
- Exposure to varying environmental conditions including cold, heat, humidity, noise, and manufacturing conditions.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
