Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking Senior Information Assurance Team Lead to support a Department of Energy customers in Washington D.C. area

A United States Citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret or DoE ‘Q’ (preferred) Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

 This is an upcoming opportunity contingent on contract award with a projected start date of May 2025.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) assigned to Information Assurance activities.
  • Provide management support, focusing on resource allocation and management for information system security officers, managers, and the authorizing official designated representative. 
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive Program Management Plan, Staffing Plan, and Quality Management Plan.
  • Ensure effective business management, staffing, and other quality practices are implemented to deliver integrated services efficiently and sustainably.
  • Support the execution of established cybersecurity and privacy governance models, processes, and policies to ensure well-informed strategy, policy, architecture standards, and investment decisions.
  • Implement management practices to proactively pursue innovation to enhance successful performance and delivery of tasks.
  • Ensure communications are professional and accurate, consistent with the program's goals, and promote positive working relationships with consumers of organizational solutions and services.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience leading cybersecurity and Information Assurance teams.
  • Demonstrate and utilize expert knowledge in the review of technical and programmatic cybersecurity protections as documented in NIST SP 800-53 and the Committee on National Security Systems Instruction 1253.
  • Experience with NIST and organizational implementations of risk management processes.
  • Experience providing cybersecurity threat and vulnerability identification and analysis.
  • Experience quantifying and qualifying the impact and risk posed to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of government information and operational technology systems, applications, and information under assessment
  • Possess strong writing and oral presentation capabilities to provide a high capability to document, organize, communicate, assess, and review internal processes subject to federal requirements, contractual obligations, and external audits.

Education:

  • BS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a similar relevant degree or commensurate experience. Master’s degree preferred.

Certifications:

  • DoD 8140 Information Assurance Manager III required certification – ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or EC-Council Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO).

Clearance:

  • An active DoD Top Secret Required or DoE ‘Q’ (preferred)
  • Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
