Overview of position:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the San Antonio TX area, As the Accounting Manager, you will lead the accounting department by supervising, monitoring, and evaluating day-to-day financial operations. You will play a key role in establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
This position is located in San Antonio, TX (Hybrid: 50% on-site / 50% remote).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all accounting functions including banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, financial reporting, and general ledger activities in compliance with DCAA rules and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- Supervise, develop, and mentor the accounting team while ensuring adherence to company accounting policies and procedures.
- Implement, maintain, and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), DCAA, and FAR regulations.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow reports, and key financial metrics to provide accurate and timely insights to leadership.
- Collaborate closely with program managers, contract managers, and leadership teams to ensure accurate billing, cost allocations, and financial compliance on federal contracts.
- Prepare, review, and submit incurred cost submissions and provisional billing rates to DCAA.
- Support pre-award and post-award audits by DCAA and DCMA; coordinate with independent auditors as required.
- Manage Contractor Manpower Reporting and maintain compliance with contract reporting requirements.
- Resolve complex accounting and financial issues with professionalism and discretion.
- Ensure confidentiality of all company financial data and compliance with company financial procedures as well as federal contracting regulations.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) and/or certifications as required by FEDITC and its clients.
- Other duties as assigned to support corporate and contract financial operations.
