Details for Classroom Support Services Opening in New Salem
Be a driving force in keeping our center running smoothly. Duties include shopping, scheduling maintenance, meals, bus duty, ordering supplies, and assisting in the classroom.
- $17.00/hour
- 40 hours per week.
- Requires high school diploma or GED
- Requires a valid driver's license.
- Applicant may obtain CDL to drive small school bus. Head Start pays for the CDL course through Harlow's.
- Work 9 months per year and enjoy the summers off! If interested, summer hours may be available through HIT, Inc.
- Children attend Head Start on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Wednesdays are set as a staff work day.

SUMMARY
Learn and pass CPR, First Aid, and CDL. Drives bus, does grocery and supply shopping, assists in classrooms as scheduled or as requested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Adheres to all principles of confidentiality:
- Drives bus routes, when applicable.
- Cleans staff vehicles and bus weekly.
- Cleans facility as needed.
- Helps in classrooms, as assigned.
- Maintains outdoor playgrounds – i.e. snow shoveling, mowing, ice removal, sweeping sidewalks, pick up trash, etc.
- Maintains playground.
- Report mileage.
- Grocery shopping.
- Maintains WRHS vehicles.
- Attends Safety and Sanitation training.
