Programming Manager

The Standard Spa, Miami Beach

At The Standard, we don’t just do events, we create cultural moments. We’re looking for a Programming Manager who can keep the vibes high, the calendar fresh, and the community buzzing. From intimate wellness workshops to poolside DJ sets and thought-provoking art talks, you’ll be the connector, the curator, and the quiet force behind it all.

What You’ll Be Up To: 

  • Crafting a vibrant and diverse monthly/annual cultural calendar that celebrates culture, lifestyle, wellness, arts, music, fashion, and more.
  • Leveraging expertise and local connections within creative communities to enrich programming, forge partnerships for events and activations, and stimulate business growth. 
  • Expanding relationships with media, KOLs, personalities, influencers, and companies to enhance promotional support for the cultural calendar.  
  • Focus on delivering a cultural program that prioritizes quality over quantity of events.
  • Maintaining a keen awareness of competitors and consistently benchmarking our events against industry peers.
  • Understand, maintain, and enhance the hotel’s identity through programming efforts. 
  • Ensuring the program is delivered according to established timelines. 
  • Collaborating closely with the Marketing Department to propose, align, and plan the program activation concept, direction, and feasible execution plan. 
  • Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of marketing and public relations practices. 
  • Developing and executing activities for hotel guests, members, and the local community in Miami. 
  • Collaborating with all departments (Rooms, Spa, Food & Beverage, Membership) to ensure the successful execution of events, parties, and programming. 
  • Managing and coordinating key events with relevant teams, working closely with the hotel's Marketing team to ensure guest satisfaction and experience. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in event programming and management, preferably in a hospitality or entertainment setting. 
  • Strong knowledge of music, art, fashion, film, and wellness industries. 
  • Existing relationships amongst the Miami community, tastemakers, and well-aligned partners.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful events. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Creative thinker with a passion for cultural innovation. 
  • Flexible with work schedule based on program activation needs, including availability to work evenings or weekends, on occasion as needed, for key programming moments.
  • Capable of building and managing relationships with various departments, external partners, and members/guests.   
  • Vibrant flair for culture.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Flexible schedule based on event and programming needs.
  • Proficiency in email, spreadsheets, and event planning tools is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time, or for an entire work shift.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
