From sunrise lounging to sunset cocktails, our guests come for the vibe and stay for the service. We’re looking for a Pool Server who embodies our easygoing yet refined spirit, someone who delivers attentive, genuine service while keeping the pool area running smoothly.
The Role:
The Pool Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in the pool and surrounding areas. This role ensures a seamless and elevated experience by anticipating guest needs, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and delivering consistent, high-quality service that reflects The Standard’s standards of hospitality.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Provide warm, professional, and engaging service to all guests on the pool deck.

Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them promptly into the POS (Micros).

Deliver food and drinks efficiently, ensuring correct presentation and guest satisfaction.

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of assigned stations and pool areas.

Ensure wait stations are properly set and stocked according to SOPs.

Complete all required side work before, during, and after each shift.

Review daily menus, specials, and 86 lists to remain fully informed.

Confidently describe menu items, ingredients, and wine selections per training standards.

Properly open and serve all wine, water, and bottled beverages.

Handle all forms of payment accurately and follow cash-handling procedures.

Communicate effectively with bartenders, runners, and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.

Follow all service standards, safety guidelines, and The Standard Spa expectations.

Assist teammates as needed—teamwork keeps the deck flowing.
Qualifications

3+ years experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a pool, resort, or high-volume outdoor environment.

Knowledge of basic food and beverage service procedures and point-of-sale systems (Micros experience a plus).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Positive attitude, professional appearance, and genuine enthusiasm for guest service.

Must be 21 years of age or older to serve alcoholic beverages.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.

Frequent bending, kneeling, and stretching as part of daily duties.

Must be able to push, pull, move, carry, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Ability to grasp, turn, and handle trays, glassware, and service items safely.

Comfortable working outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
