Developmental Pathways (DP) has an opportunity for an Associate Director (AD) of Learning and Organizational Development (LOD) Training and Onboarding to join our LOD team! This AD will play a critical leadership role in advancing the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of the DP through innovative and effective employee development initiatives. This position directly supports the Director of LOD in the design, implementation, and oversight of programs that cultivate a high-performing, mission-driven workforce. In addition, this position will lead the ongoing development and delivery of strategic onboarding, leadership development, and continuous learning initiatives that strengthen organizational capacity and talent across all levels.

This role offers a 4-day, 40-hour work week, Monday-Thursday, and includes the flexibility to work remotely, as well as the opportunity to collaborate in-person at our headquarters office in Aurora, CO, and/or at off-site locations.

Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Human Resources, Social Work, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employee development, adult learning, or training program management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams, managing staff, and collaborating with executive leaders
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning theory, and program evaluation
  • Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate
  • Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and proof of motor vehicle insurance
  • Ability to meet our driving requirements - no suspensions/ no more than two tickets in the past three years
 
Upon request, qualifying need, and approval, driving requirements may be waived in lieu of reliable transportation.
 
 
Preferred
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience working within human services or Medicaid waiver programs is strongly preferred
     

Additional Responsibilities
 
Leadership & Strategy
  • Partner with the Director of LOD to shape and execute the organizational learning strategy in alignment with organizational strategic goals
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to executive and departmental leaders to identify learning and performance gaps, and co-design solutions that support workforce development and operational excellence
  • Model and promote a culture of leadership at every level—developing others, promoting feedback, and driving accountability and inclusion
  • Partner with external stakeholders to enhance onboarding processes focused on compliance and early engagement, ensuring employees are set up for long-term success from day one
Program Oversight
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of onboarding and employee training
  • Ensure training programs meet compliance standards and support key functional areas, including case management teams, administrative roles, and leadership positions
  • Lead the ongoing enhancement and evolution of training content, tools, and systems to reflect best practices and evolving needs
  • Utilize data and feedback to evaluate training effectiveness and inform continuous improvement efforts
Team Management & Development
  • Directly supervise LOD staff, providing clear expectations, developmental support, and performance feedback in partnership with the Director and Human Resources
  • Conducts regular employee needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and performance evaluations
  • Manage internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructional staff; coordinate training assignments, monitor effectiveness, and ensure alignment with broader organizational objectives
  • Promote staff engagement and growth by fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative team culture
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with department leaders (e.g., CM+, HR, CE, QA, IT, Finance) to ensure training strategies are integrated with workforce planning and development efforts
  • Collaborate with program leadership across physical disability, I/DD Medicaid waivers, and other services to ensure content relevance and consistency
  • Represent the LOD department in internal committees, working groups, and state or CMA liaison initiatives as appropriate
Project Management & Administration
  • Maintain project documentation and progress updates using LOD’s project tracking tools
  • Oversee timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication for key learning initiatives
  • Support change management efforts by equipping leaders with tools and training to manage transitions effectively
