Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure, and Credentials: (Where appropriate, education and/or experience may be substituted)
Minimum Required Education: Master’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, psychiatric mental health nursing, or a degree in a specified related field. Educational background must meet or exceed the requirements of DHS 35.
Minimum Required Experience: Experience working with developmentally disabled children/adolescents is preferred.
Required License – Certification – Registration: Meet or exceed the requirements of DHS 35
Issued By Governing Body: Wisconsin. Wisconsin State license as an LCSW, LPC, or LPC-IT must be obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
Travel Type: Less than 10%
Required Valid Driver’s License: Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
Required Auto Insurance: Vehicle liability insurance in accordance with Agency policy.

• Broad knowledge of psychopathology, normal development, and psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Awareness of personal, cultural, educational, and environmental aspects of community living for individuals with mental illness, developmental disability, substance abuse, medical ailments, and the co-occurring possibilities of those conditions.
• Knowledge of community mental health systems, community resources, WI law and administrative regulations, civil commitment, guardianship, and other applicable WI statutes.
• Knowledge of using work related equipment and applications such as cell phone and texting, computers, photo copier, Microsoft Office, and Teams.
• Maintains confidential information and discretion.
• Ability to work individually and in a team setting.
• Organizes and uses time efficiently and effectively.
• Takes responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight.
• Adheres to all workplace and safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.
Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:
Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
Working Conditions: None: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
