EPICOR Technical Application Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Epicor Application Specialist responsible for administration in addition to level 1 & 2 technical and functional support for the Epicor ERP software. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of the Epicor software across various business units, servicing tickets submitted through Help Desk portal. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, an in-depth understanding of Epicor functionality, and excellent problem-solving skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Address and resolve system issues or user inquiries promptly.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to Epicor functionality and data integrity, collaborating with internal teams to resolve.
• Assist with the configuration, setup, and customization of Epicor modules based on business requirements.
• Conduct system testing after updates, upgrades, or modifications to ensure continued functionality and performance
• Assist with data migration and other activities supporting EPICOR implementations.
• Administer and support the Epicor ERP system, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Conduct system upgrades, patches, and enhancements while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Work with the IT team and vendors for system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
• Monitor system performance and escalate critical issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy standards.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• 4 year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• In-depth understanding of Epicor functionality, including finance, manufacturing, distribution, and inventory management modules.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Adapt to changing priorities, being self-motivated and a self-starter, and working alone with timely and productive outcomes.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is a must.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience with system integrations and APIs.
• Familiarity with Epicor upgrades, patch management, and system migrations is a plus.
• Strong experience working with Epicor ERP (preferably Epicor 10 or Kinetic)
• At least three (3) years of experience servicing EPICOR end-user issues
• Epicor certification or relevant training is a plus.
• Proficient in using Microsoft suite of products.
• Deep inventory experience.
• Job costing experience. 
• Knowledge of cloud-based or hybrid deployment of Epicor ERP.
• DMT experience in loading master and transactional data for pilots and cutover. 
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Approximately 10-15%, depending on business need.
