POSITION: Calderwood Operations Associate
DEPARTMENT: Theatre Operations
FT or PT: FT
CLASSIFICATION Hourly
SALARY: $22 - $24 / hr
SCHEDULE: Weekdays, Weeknights, and Weekends
STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Calderwood Pavilion Operations Supervisor
STATEMENT OF JOB:
The primary focus of this position is to assist the Operations Supervisor in the coordination and
management of the Calderwood Pavilion. This position’s duties would include supervising the
venue’s rental spaces, carrying out event plans, and assisting with facility maintenance. This
position requires interpersonal communications skills, as this individual would serve as clients’
contact on-site for any questions or issues. This individual would assist the Operations
Supervisor in generating maintenance plans and completing advanced work for upcoming
events and productions.
JOB DUTIES:
• Assist with the coordination of production needs of theatrical and event rentals
• Act as on-site contact for renters, enforcing policies related to building hours, trainings,
custodial services, loading dock usage, shared space usage, etc.
• Periodically review and update all building inventories and paperwork
• Help maintain theatrical equipment, systems, and inventories
• Meet and communicate with external vendors and contractors as needed
• Assist with facility maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning.
• Provide training for internal and external production crews on safety equipment
• Work collaboratively with Huntington production staff to ensure Huntington protocol
and standards are being upheld
• Assists Calderwood Pavilion House Crew in executing and supervising events and
productions
• Respond to Calderwood Pavilion emergencies as required. Open and close the facility, as
assigned.
• Serve as a stand-by for Calderwood House Crew positions for show runs and events

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
• B.A./B.S. or equivalent
• Previous performing arts experience
• Experience reading technical drawings and event briefings
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to communicate effectively and professionally with a range of clients
• Able to think quickly and come up with effective solutions under pressure
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Capable of working on projects independently
