|
Applications are sought for adjunct instructors to teach in-person Sociology courses
|
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
|
- Demonstrated excellence in on-site teaching.
- Demonstrated excellence in online teaching, including creative use of online platforms and consistent use of high-quality online lectures in video and/or audio format.
- Adherence to high professional expectations.
- Demonstrated inter- and intrapersonal skills, especially in engaging with traditional and non-traditional university students from a variety of backgrounds.
- Evidence of high level of personal integrity, agency and initiative.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Successful use of multiple creative instructional strategies and technologies in the classroom and online to improve educational outcomes of diverse learners.

Experience
|
- Evidence of rigorous, creative, and effective teaching skills.
- Excellent student evaluations over a 3-year period or more are preferred

Education
|
Minimum requirement: Master’s degree in Sociology. (PhD in Sociology is preferred.)

Available to teach Spring semesters on site at high school site(s) in Wilson County TN for dual enrollment courses (initially M/W mornings.)
