Description

Job Duties:

  1. Scheduling
  1. Schedule intake appointments for consultant/coordinator
  2. Schedule appointments for therapist
  3. Schedule emergency appointments
  4. Schedule and send appointments for medical clinics
  5. Schedule pre admission screenings and maintain pre admission statistical

 

  1. General Clerical Work
  1. Prepare daily activity sheets fir medical clinic, therapy sessions and other services as provided
  2. Receptionist duties
  3. Pull charts and log appointments/related information and therapy appointments
  4. Prepare intake and emergency paperwork packets for clinical staff
  5. Prepare billing for all services, collect money and make change on a daily basis for services provided
  6. Maintain filing in current, accurate manner
  7. Compile end of month financial report for county office

 

  1. Office Management
  1. Maintain resource guide manual and supplements
  2. Release reports as requested from other service providers in a timely manner
  3. Plan medical clinics
  4. Assist County Administrator with internal auditing
  5. Assist County Administrator with the management of medical clinics
  6. Assist clinical staff in meeting Department of Mental Health Minimum Standards

 

  1. Treat individuals receiving services, family members, staff, volunteers, visitors, government agencies, and the general public with respect, dignity, and courtesy at all times.  Conduct yourself in a manner which leaves a favorable impression with the public.
  2. Adhere to all Department of Mental Health Standards, Division of Medicaid Standards, and maintain respect for all other Life Help policies, procedures, and management decisions.
  3. Respect and uphold the confidentiality of individuals receiving services, their family members, colleagues, and any sensitive situations arising within the agency.  Refrain from malicious gossip at all times.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Participate in all training required for your specific position and by the agency at large.
  2. Perform other specific duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager/coordinator.
  3. Must possess leadership ability, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.

 

I understand that I may be subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, including TB,AIDS and hepatitis and may be subject to emotionally upset and hostile individuals, family members, etc.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Secretarial experience (prefer 60 WPM and transcription)
  3. Valid Mississippi Driver’s License
