The Tool & Die Technician is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and repair of tools, dies, and molds used in manufacturing processes. This role involves working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure the effective operation of tooling equipment and to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool performance and quality.

Essential Functions:

Tool and Die Fabrication:
- Fabricate, and assemble new tools, and dies according to engineering specifications and production requirements.
- Use precision measuring instruments and machinery (e.g., CNC machines, lathes, mills) to create and modify tooling components.

Tool Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tools and dies to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool malfunction or wear, making necessary adjustments or replacements.

Tool Calibration:
- Ensure tools and dies are accurately calibrated and set up to meet production specifications and tolerances.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify tool performance and product quality.

Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to understand tooling needs and requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to production staff regarding tool setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of tool and die maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
- Document tool performance issues, improvements, and report findings to management.

Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and recommend improvements to tooling processes and practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in tool and die technology.

Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery and handling tools.
- Ensure that tools and dies are maintained in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
