Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and manage quality initiatives across our production operations. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing QA systems, managing compliance with industry standards and regulations, overseeing quality engineers and inspectors, and driving continuous improvement throughout the production lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management

  • Lead and manage a team of QA engineers, inspectors, and technicians across one or more manufacturing facilities.
  • Define team goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing mentorship and training.
  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems in compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, FDA, or other applicable standards.
  • Ensure quality documentation (SOPs, work instructions, inspection protocols) is accurate and up to date.
  • Lead internal and external audits; coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).

Production Support

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process.
  • Oversee incoming material inspections, in-process checks, and final product evaluations.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints.

 

Process Improvement & Risk Management

  • Lead root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions using methodologies like 8D, DMAIC, or FMEA.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to drive improvements in yield, throughput, and defect rates.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) with quality planning and validation protocols.

Metrics & Reporting

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as defect rates, scrap/rework, and first-pass yield.
  • Report quality trends and risks to leadership and recommend proactive improvements.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Quality, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5–10 years of experience in a QA/QC role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • At least 2–3 years of team leadership or managerial experience.
  • Deep knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), standards (ISO, FDA, etc.), and audit processes.
  • Proficient with quality tools (FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification (e.g., Green/Black Belt).
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, medical device, automotive).
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES/QMS systems (e.g., SAP, Plex, Master Control).
