Job Summary:

The Vehicle Acquisition Manager is responsible for overseeing the sourcing and procurement of vehicles for the dealership or organization. This role involves developing strategies for vehicle acquisition, managing relationships with suppliers, and ensuring inventory aligns with market demand and company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Sourcing:
    • Identify and evaluate potential sources for vehicle acquisition, including auctions, manufacturers, and trade-ins.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers, vendors, and other dealers to secure competitive pricing.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Analyze market trends and customer demand to determine optimal vehicle inventory levels.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align inventory with promotional activities and market needs.
  • Negotiation and Purchasing:
    • Negotiate purchase agreements, contracts, and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable conditions for the dealership.
    • Ensure all acquisitions comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Market Analysis:
    • Conduct regular assessments of market conditions, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies.
    • Provide reports and insights to management regarding vehicle acquisition performance and market trends.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with sales, service, and finance departments to ensure smooth operations related to vehicle acquisitions.
