Responsibilities:

Analyze recruitment forecasts to manage hiring capacity and maintain optimal velocity for shipboard positions. Oversee daily sourcing and recruitment activities to ensure a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for critical onboard roles. Stay informed on maritime and hospitality labor market trends, adjusting strategies to remain competitive and meet operational needs. Take ownership of sourcing, screening, and interviewing for management and executive-level shipboard positions as required. Actively engage passive candidates through advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean searches, networking, referrals, and cold calling, while leveraging industry tools to build relationships and secure top talent for shipboard operations. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Analyze recruitment forecasts to plan and manage hiring capacity and maintain optimal hiring velocity for shipboard positions, including strategic workforce planning for new ship launches. 

  • Develop and execute proactive recruitment strategies to ensure talent readiness for Beachcomber’s operational timeline, aligning hiring plans with projected staffing needs and critical role requirements. 

  • Oversee daily sourcing and recruitment activities to maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future shipboard needs. 

  • Stay informed on maritime and hospitality labor market trends, adjusting recruitment strategies to remain competitive and meet evolving business demands. 

  • Source, screen, and conduct interviews for management and executive-level shipboard positions as required. 

  • Actively engage passive candidates using advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean searches, networking, referrals, and cold calling. 

  • Review and update interview questionnaires regularly to ensure relevance and alignment with market and role requirements. 

  • Utilize reports and dashboards to monitor productivity, effectiveness, and candidate management throughout the shipboard recruitment process. 

  • Prepare various reports as needed, including status updates, talent search reviews, and gap analyses for shipboard operations and upcoming ship launches. 

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by HR management. 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in the maritime or hospitality industry. 

  • Proven track record of successful talent acquisition for both shipboard and shoreside positions. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. 

  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and recruitment software. 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills 

 

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. 

Travel: 25% 

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. 

This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from the MVAS office in Orlando, Florida Monday through Friday each week. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Orlando area. This position also requires work in the evenings and weekends as necessary.
