As a Benefits Specialist at our corporate office, you will play a vital role in helping team members navigate the benefits that support their health, families, and futures. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about people, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

This position allows for remote work; however, it is a requirement that candidates reside within South Texas or the Rio Grande Valley. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to employees regarding their insurance coverage
  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly benefits tasks in system
  • Review payroll premiums for employee enrollments
  • Send missed premium communication to employees
  • Audit benefit dates for employee status changes or terminations
  • Process qualified event requests and provide instructions to employees
  • Audit dependent verification documentation
  • Reconcile provider invoices and communicate with representatives
  • Manage FMLA/LOA/ADA cases for assigned facilities and ancillaries
  • Assist Benefits Manager with ACA checklist periodically
  • Work closely with the Human Resources Coordinator and facility and ancillary staff
  • Communicate with Regional HR Managers and HR Team

Qualifications

  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and facility-level staff
  • Must be self-driven, accountable, and able to complete tasks without being micromanaged
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate a positive work ethic, must be a team player, and have a willingness to add knowledge and skills to the department

Experience requirements:

  • At least 1 year of HR experience
  • Technical competencies to include proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Accounting/bookkeeping experience

Education:

  • A high school diploma is required
