Summary of Responsibilities:
The Chief Engineer/Building Manager is considered an at-will supervisory position and the person selected will act as the liaison between the tenants of 1522 First Avenue Condominium and Extell Management Services Inc. The Chief Engineer/Building Manager is responsible for exercising independent judgment in the oversight of the daily operations of the building including assisting management in the drafting and monitoring of the annual budget, oversight of the building’s mechanical systems, equipment, maintenance, repairs, cleanliness, the hiring, training, supervision and direction of staff, front desk operations, staff scheduling and payroll, overseeing tenant buildouts, facilitating move-ins/outs, ordering and distribution of supplies, planning ahead for emergencies, managing the work of vendors and contractors.
The Chief Engineer/Building Manager shall live off-site, be on call 24 x 7 for emergencies, and available to independently resolve any building, tenant, or staff related issues.Â
