Description

Summary:
Responsible for preparing and packaging gates, gate operators, and accessories for customer shipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring final products meet company quality and presentation standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following:

·  Review work orders for accuracy and completeness.

·  Retrieve painted gates, operators, and accessories from designated staging areas.

·  Apply skins and warning labels to gate operators.

·  Assemble accessory kits per operator configuration.

·  Measure and record gate dimensions per lug sheet standards.

·  Attach barrier screens and signage per specifications.

·  Perform minor touch-up painting as needed.

·  Build custom skids/crates using provided product dimensions or verbal instructions.

·  Measure and cut wood using tape measure and power miter saw.

·  Use pneumatic nail guns and hand tools to assemble skids and crates.

·  Securely package products and accessories for transit.

·  Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

·  Follow all Final Assembly safety protocols.

·  Support other duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Abilities:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles, risk of electric shock, and may be occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures and temperature changes.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The individual performing this job will be frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, bend, and/or crawl for extended periods of time, talk and/or hear. Use of hands and arms to feel, finger, handle and reach. The employee will regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.

Visual acuity to inspect parts and read measurements, including close vision, depth perception, and color differentiation. Tolerate exposure to noise, vibrations, dust, odors, and temperature variations common to a production floor environment. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, and other job-specific gear.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training in similar environment. Ability to read and interpret documents, instructions, and procedure manuals; above average oral and verbal communication skills, math skills and the ability to read a tape measure to the 32nd’s of an inch.
