Line/Prep Cook – Pillars Café
Shepherd Church is seeking a reliable and experienced Line/Prep Cook to join our Pillars Café team as a part time employee! If you love working with food, value teamwork, and enjoy serving others in a warm and welcoming environment, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workspace throughout your shift, including immediate cleanup and regular trash removal.
- Prepare and stock ingredients (meats, proteins, cheeses, vegetables, sauces, etc.) and ensure all items are properly labeled, dated, and stored.
- Execute customer orders efficiently and accurately without compromising quality.
- Coordinate with the Lead Cook at the start and end of shifts regarding prep needs, menu updates, and next-day requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen
- Strong understanding of food preparation, safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment (grill, oven, fryer, etc.)
- Valid Food Handler’s Card
- Weekend availability is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 40 lbs, and stand for extended periods
- Able to work 20–29 hours weekly
