Dishwasher / Prep Line Cook
Part-Time | 15–29 hours weekly
Shepherd Church is seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher/Prep Line Cook to support our Pillars Café team. This role is essential to keeping our kitchen running smoothly, cleanly, and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Clean & Maintain Dishware: Properly clean, wash, and maintain all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout your shift.
- Support Kitchen Operations: Follow all instructions, schedules, and kitchen protocols as assigned by the Lead Chef.
- Assist With Food Prep: Help maintain par levels of prepared products and ensure all items are correctly labeled (rotations, dates, descriptions) and stored safely each day.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Remove trash, break down cardboard, and dispose of waste in appropriate bins.
- Keep Work Areas Orderly: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Food Handler’s Card (required)
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Adaptability and willingness to follow direction
- Physical stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
