The baker will be responsible for providing baked items and service in an efficient manner. The baker will execute and improve recipes, perform quality checks, and make baked goods for the restaurant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain high sanitation standards throughout the area of responsibility, which will meet or exceed federal, state, and local standards.
- Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as bagels, cookies, bread, cakes, etc.
- Decorating and displaying finished products.
- Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
- Evaluate cooked food for quality prior to being served.
- Keeping record of inventory and production.
- Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
- Abide by company policies regarding food service.
