JOB SUMMARY:  Handles all duties related to administration of the Credit Union’s Business / Commercial loan and deposit portfolio administration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages all aspects of the TVFCU Watch Credits. To include but not limited to Quarterly Watch reporting, risk grading, impairment analysis and recommendations for upgrades, downgrades and charge off
  • Primary point of contact for Internal and External Auditors and Regulators. Serves as the main point of contact for external loan review  in conjunction with the TVFCU Supervisory Committee.
  • Manages the TVFCU Business and Commercial Services Periodic Review and Loan Renewal process. Works with the Business / Commercial Lender(s) to obtain required financial data to process member-periodic loan reviews and/or loan renewals.
  • Analyzes financial data, for periodic review and/or loan renewal to ensure the information meets the Credit Union’s requirements, and is accurate, signed, and complete.
  • Compiles the financial data and completes cash flow analysis to include the borrowing entity, related companies, and all guarantors.
  • Analyzes and evaluates liquidity, profitability, trends, strengths and weaknesses of the borrowing entity, related companies, and guarantors.
  • Conducts research of the industry, and compares and contrasts the industry trends to the borrower and any related entities.
  • Prepares Credit Review Form and/or Credit Memo with financial, loan structure and industry data. Including recommendation on risk grade.
  • Conducts site visits as needed to assess the condition of TVFCU collateral.
  • Performs Credit related functions for Treasury Management/Deposit Services.
  • Manages all aspects of Vendor Management, Due Diligence for new Vendors and the Business and Commercial Services disaster recovery plan.
  • Seeks knowledge of changes and developments in the Business Lending arena and incorporates same as appropriate in daily activities.
  • Annually reviews the Business/Commercial Loan and Deposit Policies and Procedures and makes recommendations for revisions and/or updates as needed.
  • Ensures Policy/Procedures are presented to the TVFCU Board of Directors annually for approval and ratification.
  • Serves as the backup Business and Commercial Services systems administrator for all external systems.
  • Serves as backup for Weekly ALM Report, Monthly Board Report and Quarterly Call Report.
  • Maintain knowledge of branch operations by completing Deposit Regulation and Product and Service Certification courses.
  • Proactively demonstrate the TVFCU core values of integrity, honesty, flexibility, teamwork, leadership, accountability and strong relationships in every interaction with members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field required.  Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of five (7) years of business loan underwriting or credit analysis experience (with additional experience in commercial loan portfolio management and/or business / commercial lending experience preferred).
  • Well-developed analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of credit and credit quality including extensive financial analysis abilities preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of business/commercial deposit/loan products and services and industry trends.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing member relationships.
  • Must be able to work independently and to organize and plan/schedule for optimal productivity and achieve production goals.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Credit Union’s products and services in order to identify cross-selling opportunities that would benefit the member.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
