About the role:

Responsible for the content and direction of training programs, instruction, and materials with a participation in the final decision of training operation's direction. Establishes consistency across training content and courses. Recommends and executes strategic direction of Dealer Technical Training. Defines courses that need to be created and manages workflows to meet deadlines. Able to teach multiple courses in internal combustion or electric disciplines. 

What you will do:

• Instruct Technicians, increasing skills and knowledge to provide our customers with more efficient and accurate repairs.  Functions include the use of different training media in various forms to best explain and teach proper service operations.
• With the guidance of Sr. Instructors and management, develop training materials for new products and refine and improve the training materials for existing courses as need be.
• Keep informed regarding possible changes to products to ensure course material is current, manage scheduling of classes and training resources, and provide support for other team members
• Respond to CRM tickets and maintain applicable course information in the Learning Management System.
• May be called upon to assist in sales and other training meetings for various duties from general support to presenting material.

When & Where:

Will work in Houston Headquarters building, Test Center, on-site at dealer locations, and customer locations as required.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2 to 7 years’ experience.
• Computer skills, specifically word processing and graphic presentations.
• In depth technical knowledge of lift truck or related equipment service and repair.
• Knowledge of lift truck system operation and application.
• Good organizational skills and professional attitude.
• 2+ years’ experience as an instructor.
• 1+ years managing projects.
• Strong troubleshooting and research skills.
• Good technical understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.

What would be nice to have:

• Computer skills, specifically word processing and graphic presentations.
• In-depth knowledge of lift truck mechanics operation, and warehouse.
• Additional language skills with emphasis on German, Spanish or Japanese.
• Current lift truck operator certification.
• Training course material development experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Lift Truck instructor or technician.
• 3+ years managing projects.
• Experience may be substituted for education
