EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- BS Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or Materials Science required
- Aerospace industry experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple projects / tasks
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 / AS9100 and NADCAP quality standards
- Knowledge of statistical techniques, SPC
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing
- Ability to solve problems effectively
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Must possess solid analytical skills in defining problems, collection data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, ERP)
The ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts and ability to apply fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
