Holland Hall was established in 1922 and currently serves approximately 1,000 preK through 12th grade students in a coeducational setting. The Facilities Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks, facility safety inspections, and regular clean up and maintenance tasks as assigned in conjunction with the overall purpose of Holland Hall. A high school diploma or equivalent and a third-class boiler license is required.Â

Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, the employee in this position will perform routine maintenance functions to include but not limited to:
Â
- Operating the facility’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building systems.Â
- Operating boilers, chillers and associated machinery to maintain proper environmental controls
- Scheduling and performing HVAC preventative maintenance including changing filters in air handlers and fan coil units.
- Servicing motors, bearings, and belts on related equipment.
- Maintaining and replacing light fixtures and ballasts.
- Cleaning and maintaining boilers, chillers, and air handler rooms.
- Scheduling Energy Management tasks.Â
- Performing regular facility inspections of such items as sprinkler systems, pressured systems, and valves.Â
- Inspecting building areas for compliance with local building and fire regulations.
- Inspecting and repairing exterior fixtures.
- Inspecting and maintaining emergency generator systems and lighting.
- Driving a class B and C bus as needed for school functions.
- Operating a lift.
- Assisting in moving furniture and equipment as needed.Â
- Other duties as required to fulfill the overall purpose of Holland Hall.Â
