Description

The Warehouse Manager oversees the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient handling of inventory, equipment, vendor documentation (e.g., Certificates of Analysis), and personnel. This role ensures all programs and procedures are followed while upholding compliance with industry standards and food safety requirements.

General Responsibilities

• Manage logistics and scheduling to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
• Uphold and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to food safety fundamentals and warehouse practices.
• Supervise and manage all warehouse personnel and day-to-day activities.
• Oversee the maintenance of the facility, programs, and warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks, and trailers.
• Ensure industry and internal standards are consistently met; conduct follow-up meetings and training as needed.
• Collaborate closely with Purchasing and Sales departments to ensure inventory and procurement align with operational needs.
• Ensure accurate and timely handling of all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Maintain and manage vendor relationships, including tracking and verifying Vendor Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
• Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and immediately report any safety or quality concerns to authorized personnel for corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of warehouse experience in food industry, including logistics and personnel management.
• Language Skills: Bilingual – English and Spanish is a must. Ability to read, interpret, and communicate details from purchase orders, contracts, and other operational documents in both languages.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic for inventory tracking and order processing.
• Reasoning Ability: Strong multitasking, attention to detail, and the ability to follow and communicate both written and verbal instructions.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with inventory management systems and basic operating system functions.

Physical Demands
• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands for handling, typing, and writing.
• Occasionally required to sit.
• Requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Noise levels are generally moderate but may increase when in the warehouse or during collaborative office communication.
• Must be able to move through the warehouse, including areas with elevated noise levels and active equipment.
