DEMAND PLANNER

The Demand Planner plays a key role in supporting inventory management, purchasing operations, and the overall demand planning process. This position involves daily coordination with suppliers and internal departments, analysis of purchase data, and execution of purchasing activities based on material requirements. Ideal candidates will bring a solid understanding of ERP/MRP systems, be proficient in Excel and Power BI to develop reports and dashboards that drive visibility and support data-driven decision-making and possess the ability to balance detail-oriented tasks with a broader view of supply chain priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely reordering of stock to maintain target levels.
• Execute MRP (Material Requirements Planning) runs and generate purchase suggestions using the ERP system.
• Process special order requests (OANs) accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and order status.
• Collaborate with operations, production, and sales teams to support forecast alignment and product availability.
• Maintain purchase order documentation and monitor vendor performance.
• Assist in identifying supply risks and work with management on corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement of planning processes and purchasing workflows.
• Develop and update Excel tools and reports to enhance planning visibility.
• Perform other tasks and projects as needed.

• 2–4 years of experience in demand planning, inventory control, or purchasing, preferably in a food, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
• Working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas).
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide insights.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
