MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required. College degree in a related field, and/or PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- 1-2 years of human resources experience required
- 1-2 years of administrative office experience required
- Proficient in computer software including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, G Suite, etc.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment law and best practices.
Travel
- 5-15% of time requirements
- Monthly travel to offices in the state. Occasional travel to other states for HR team meetings.
Work Authorization and Clearance
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass criminal background check and driving record check
WORK ENVIRONMENT & EQUIPMENT USED:
- Computer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine, and other office equipment as necessary
- Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and G Suite (Gmail, Hangouts, Drive, Calendar, etc.)
- HRIS (Paycom) and Online data management systems (DCI)
- Work schedule: Typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasionally required to lift and move up to 30 pounds of paper, files and/or equipment.
- Able to sit for extended periods (1-2 hour blocks) of time to enter data into multiple systems, conduct face-to-face meetings or interviews
- Occasionally required to attend or conduct long meetings (3-4 hours in duration).
- Able to stand for extended periods (2-4 hour blocks) of conduct training or attend job fairs
- Ability to work under stressful conditions, deal with difficult people, and handle multiple assignments with specific deadlines.
- Able to have appropriate interactions and maintain professionalism
- Able to read and interpret written information, including laws and regulations
- Regularly required to use their fingers, hands, arms and eyes to type.
- Frequently required to speak to and appropriately respond to employees & managers on the phone.
