Description

Title: Dishwasher
Reports to: Executive Chef / Sous Chef

Summary of Position:
Efficiently clean and maintain all culinary areas using various cleaning techniques. Wash all dishes from meal periods including prep. Dispose of garbage and cardboard in approved receptacles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Wash all dishes and kitchen equipment including broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
  • Restock dishes in their corresponding areas.
  • Maintain all paper towel and soap dispensers.
  • Know and comply with Aurora quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of sanitizer solution on all stations.
  • Clean and maintain floors in all culinary areas.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area including but not limited to tables, shelves, prep sinks, grills, broilers, fryers, steamers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
  • Dispose of trash and cardboard in approved receptacles.
  • Assist in receiving all deliveries by storing and rotating all products properly.
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Close the kitchen properly by following the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in the kitchen closing procedure.
  • Attend all scheduled team meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or manager-on-duty.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
