Pay Rate:   Start; $19.75/hour 
                    In 90 days; $20.25/hour

Position Summary:

The Shipping Associate/Forklift Operator is responsible for effectively performing all the required duties of the position in an accurate, thorough, and safe manner. Employees are responsible for producing a safe and quality food product per USDA guidelines and are required to report all food safety related problems to their Supervisor/Manager and/or to the Quality Assurance department to initiate immediate action.

 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and make up orders off a pick sheet.
  • Ensuring that outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage.
  • Pick and stage outbound shipments.
  • Stage a trailer to ensure that shipments are loaded properly, and maximum loads are achieved.
  • Clear packaging area by securing and loading finished pallets, moving empty pallets.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic: following standards and procedures: complying with legal regulations per all forklift operations.
  • Accomplish warehousing and organizational mission by completed related results as needed.
  • Use scanner in the correct manner to properly scan and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Complete necessary forklift maintenance and associated reports to ensure maximum forklift performance and overall plant safety.
  • Participate in monthly inventory process.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and sanitary manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
