McLane Classic Foods is a premier custom kettle-cooked food products company based in Burleson, Texas. Specializing in custom product development, we produce a wide range of kettle-cooked recipes for our regional and national chain restaurant partners. Our capabilities include an array of kettle-cooked food products, including soups, sauces, side dishes, and dips.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.50 - $22.50 per hour
Scheduled Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm (or until production is complete) - Flexibility needed for staying late - No Exceptions
Scheduled Day: Monday - Saturday (& Sundays as needed) - No Exceptions
Role and Responsibilities
Employee is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the Perpetual Inventory through the prescribed period counts, research of inventory variances found, maintenance of product location integrity, and monitoring of general product physical and shelf-life integrity.
- Perform the daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and periodic cycle counts.
- Perform product location updates in the WMS.
- Review all missing pallets and process full cycle counts daily.
- Maintain visibility of all items in the Meat Cooler and provide research to Purchasing and S&R daily.
- Identify and report potential shelf-life concerns, found during cycle counting. Support SAR research as needed.
- Identify and report damaged product found while performing counts or audits.
- Communicate potential missed tempering/ production risks to Management in Purchasing and S&R departments.
- Work closely with the Purchasing team and provide crucial inventory adjustments that may affect Production runs.
- Adhere to plant GMPs and safety guidelines as well as understanding of allergens within our product line.
- Additional responsibilities as instructed by Accounting Manager or Management Team.
Skills and Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Self-starter and able to prioritize based on severity of tasks.
- Exceptional analytical/problem-solving skills, communication abilities, organizational and time management skills.
- Be able to stand, stoop, climb and bend for periods of time. Be able to lift 50lbs. Comfortable with heights.
- Be able to work in freezer, cold, hot, and wet environment for 8–10-hour shifts.
- Literacy (English) and excellent math skills.
- Basic to Intermediate Microsoft excel skills.
- Certification/Training in Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, and scissor-lift.
- Warehouse and forklift/pallet jack experience of 1+ years.
Additional Notes
May be required to have additional training in HACCP and Lock Out Tag Out.
