Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

McLane Classic Foods is a premier custom kettle products company based in Burleson, Texas. Specializing in custom product development, we produce a wide range of kettle cooked recipes for our national chain restaurant partners. We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor

Role and Responsibilities

The department supervisor will be responsible for leading the daily activities within the Shipping and Receiving department. High energy and strong leadership skills a required to manage Inventory movements and team member activities to service the manufacturing department.

· Leads by example to promote a safe working environment.

· Coordinates daily scheduling of drivers and staff members ensuring the effectiveness of the workforce.

· Monitors shuttle driver departure times and reports the information accordingly.

· Works closely with the receiving clerk to coordinates customer deliveries with drivers and notifies internal stakeholders of delays.

· Report mechanical handling equipment outages to service provider.

· Answers phones, directs calls and handles warehouse, and driver inquiries.

· Scheduling of tempering ingredient in advance of production execution.

· Ensures team member completion of quality checks and on-time reporting.

· Maintain warehouse location and systematic bin accuracy.

· Provide guidance and direction to shipping/receiving team members by engaging, mentoring, and developing direct reports; as well as manage, develop, and execute training as needed.

· Additional responsibilities as instructed by VP or Operations.

· Adhere to plant GMPs and safety guidelines.

Skills and requirements

· Be able to stand, stoop, climb and bend for periods of time.

· Be able to lift up to 50lbs.

· Be able to work in freezer, cold, hot and/or wet environment for 8–10-hour shifts.

· Basic literacy (English) and math skills.

· Forklift Experience of 1+ years.

· Warehouse experience of 5+ years.

· Certification/Training in Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack

· Allergen and HACCP Training

· Computer skills
