Data Migration & Implementation Analyst - Where Your Impact Actually Matters

About Practifi (The Real Story)

At Practifi, we build financial technology, but more importantly, we build a place where people enjoy working and genuinely care about each other. In a crowd of fintechs preaching culture, we actually live it—what you see in interviews is what you'll experience every day. You'll join a team that solves real problems for real people, together.

The Opportunity (What This Role Really Means)

We're looking for a Data Migration & Implementation Analyst to join our PMO team and help financial advisors seamlessly transition their business-critical data to our platform. This isn't just about moving data from point A to point B—you'll be preserving decades of client relationships and ensuring business continuity for the professionals who depend on us.

This role is perfect for someone with 2-3 years of Salesforce data migration experience who wants to combine technical expertise with meaningful client interaction in a collaborative, transparent environment where your work directly impacts real businesses.

Your Day-to-Day (The Honest Version)

Here's what you'll actually be doing:

The Core Work:

  • Meet with onboarding clients to assess data strategy, requirements, and expectations for migration.

  • Analyze client source systems and create detailed data maps into the Practifi data model.

  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to design and execute scalable migration strategies.

  • Functionally QA and validate data after loading to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness.

  • Build and maintain data migration best practices, documentation, and repeatable frameworks.

  • Partner with Project Managers, Implementation Consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure migrations align with overall project scope and timelines.

  • Execute templated data loads using Salesforce Inspector

The Reality Check:

  • You'll have a dedicated Practibuddy to help you navigate your learning curve

  • Some clients will have decades of data quirks that require creative problem-solving

  • Our processes are well-documented, but we value your fresh perspective and improvements

  • You'll work closely with our Director of Enablement who believes in developing technical talent

  • Cross-team collaboration is the norm—you'll interface with Implementation Consultants and Engineering

The Growth Part:

  • Annual Learnbucks stipend for Salesforce certifications and professional development

  • Direct exposure to all aspects of implementation—from client consultation to technical execution

  • Clear advancement opportunities within our Implementation team

  • Real mentorship from experienced data and business professionals

What We're Really Looking For

The Must-Haves:

  • 2-3 years of experience with Salesforce data migrations using Salesforce Data Loader, Salesforce Inspector, or similar tools

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model and object relationships

  • Experience analyzing source systems and creating data mapping documentation

  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical teams and deliver quality data solutions

  • Strong business analysis skills including requirements gathering and stakeholder communication

The More Important Stuff:

  • Someone who gets genuinely excited about solving complex data puzzles

  • Detail-oriented professional who understands that "close enough" isn't acceptable with client data

  • Natural curiosity about how different businesses organize and use their information

  • Client-focused mentality who remembers there's a real business behind every migration

  • Team player who enjoys working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Bonus Points For:

  • Financial services or wealth management industry experience

  • Prior experience with Salesforce managed packages

  • SQL, ETL tools, or cloud-based data pipeline experience

  • Business analysis or client consultation background

What Taking This Leap Gets You

The Practical Stuff:

  • Competitive salary: $75,000 - $95,000 (yes, we're transparent about pay)

  • 20 days paid vacation, 10 days paid sick, 3 paid personal days, 3 paid volunteering days (all from day one)

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, parental leave, 401(k), and more

  • Annual Learnbucks for continued education and Salesforce certification development

  • Fully remote with bi-annual team summits in Chicago

The Cultural Stuff (The Real Reasons People Stay):

  • Your Practibuddy: Dedicated mentor to help you succeed from day one

  • Real Work-Life Integration: Flexibility that actually works for your life

  • Bi-annual Summits: Chicago gatherings for connection, collaboration, and celebration

  • Genuine Connections: What you see in interviews is what you get every day

  • Growth-Focused Environment: We promote from within and invest in your development

  • Transparent Communication: Open dialogue, honest feedback, regular check-ins

Ready to Join Our Community?

This role reports to our Director of Enablement, and you'll work closely with our PMO, Data Services, and Engineering teams. We're looking for someone who can start within a reasonable timeframe and is excited about remote work with meaningful team connections.

One Last Thing: We're not just hiring a Data Migration & Implementation Analyst—we're adding someone to our community. Someone whose technical expertise will ensure our clients' success, whose attention to detail will set the standard for quality, and whose collaborative spirit will make our entire Implementation team stronger.
