Job Summary
This position is for a full-time, 12-month faculty appointment within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Under the direction of the Chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Dean of the School of Pharmacy, the primary responsibilities for this position include teaching didactic courses within a professional pharmacy curriculum along with service contributions to the department and school. Scholarly pursuits in basic science research will also be expected.Â

Teaching
- Teach in an area of disciplinary expertise.
- Intro to Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, and Toxicology
- Principles of Drug Action I-IV
- Pharmaceutics I-II
- Pharmacokinetics
- Offered Electives
- Help design and coordinate core curricular and elective courses for the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum.Â
- Provide assistance in other departmental course work as requested by the department chair.
- Participate in continuing education and/or faculty development programs offered by the School.Â
Service
- Participate as a faculty member in Departmental, School and University committees and activities as assigned.
- Serve as faculty mentor to Doctor of Pharmacy students as assigned.
- Serve as a faculty advisor to student organizations as assigned.
- Service at the local, regional and national level with professional associations and organizations.
- Service within the local and surrounding communities.
   Scholarship
- Conduct research in an area of expertise
- Remain current in specialty interest areas consistent with academic responsibility and program needs by disciplined reading, study and other faculty development activitiesÂ
- Contribute to the body of knowledge in one’s discipline and primary interest area(s) via investigation or activity that shall terminate in publication of at least one article (or its equivalent) in a nationally circulated professional journal or poster/podium presentation at a national meeting per academic year.
- Seek extramural support for research interests. Collaboration with other institutions is strongly encouraged.Â
