Job Summary
The Associate Dean, School of Nursing, is responsible for assisting the dean in administering the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs for all campuses and online programs and in providing leadership in various facets of the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.

- Assist the university and nursing administration in the implementation of the statement of purpose, the institutional plan, and the financial plan for undergraduate and graduate nursing programs on all campuses and online.
- Provide a leadership role in the development, implementation, and revision of the School of Nursing master plan of evaluation and institutional effectiveness plan(s) for undergraduate and graduate nursing programs on each campus and online.
- Lead campus directors and program coordinators in assuring compliance of the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs with respect to regulatory and legal standards, including accreditation standards.
- Provide oversight of day-to-day operations of undergraduate and graduate  nursing programs on each campus and online.
- Participate as an active member and leadership representative on assigned university and school of nursing committees.
- Provide oversight of campus directors and program coordinators in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs on each campus and online, including:
- Advisement and registration of students;
- Management and preparation of degree applications;
- Evaluation processes;
- And other student issues as they occur.
- Provide oversight for development and maintenance of clinical partnerships.
- Assist in the orientation and mentorship of new faculty.
- Prepare reports as required in a timely manner.
- Meet on a regular basis with campus directors and program coordinators for undergraduate and graduate nursing programs for the purposes of program planning, development, and implementation of policies and procedures, informational purposes, etc.
- Maintain open communication within the organizational structure.
- Provide a leadership role in development and implementation of policies related to all student issues.
- Facilitate communication between all campus directors, program coordinators, clinical facilities, community partners, and dean of nursing.
- Foster a collaborative relationship between campus directors and program coordinators for all nursing programs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of an annual recruitment plan for all undergraduate and graduate nursing programs on each campus and online.
- Engage and participate in grant writing and program development.
- Monitors state and national trends in undergraduate and graduate nursing education.
- Assist the dean with management of budgetary requirements within the School of Nursing.
- Fulfill teaching duties as assigned.
