Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Baton Rouge Director, the Student Account Representative supports the university’s mission and strategic goals by managing key student financial operations and fostering positive campus relationships. This role involves direct interaction with students, faculty, and staff while performing a range of financial and administrative duties. The Student Account Representative plays a critical role in ensuring efficient, accurate, and student-centered business processes at the Baton Rouge site.

- Assists the university in implementing the Statement of Purpose
- Assists the university in implementing the long-range institutional and financial plans
- Participate in the annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the Business Office
- Responsible for the day-to-day student business-related operations on the Baton Rouge site which include the following:
- Receipt payments on student accounts (AR)
- Receipt for payments for the General Ledger (G/L) including application fees and graduation fees
- Record payments and adjustments in CAMS
- Print student billing statements or schedules as needed
- Deposit payments received into the university account
- Assist students in resolving outstanding balances
- Assist students with questions about refunds
- Coordinate tutoring services and time cards as needed
- Assist with new student orientation and registration
- Assist with collection of outstanding accounts
- Actively work at establishing positive relationships with faculty, staff, and studentsÂ
- Assist in proctoring examsÂ
- Assist with monitoring and maintenance requirements of the Baton Rouge assigned PcardÂ
- Greet and assist students, employees when entering office Â
- Provide necessary forms to students/employees, and assist with completion of formsÂ
- Serve as receptionist as needed by answering phone, voice-mail, and email for the department and distributing messages as needed.Â
- Distribute mail Â
- Produce letters, reports, and minutes from rough drafts utilizing word processing skills.Â
- Maintain an accurate and complete filling system for students and faculty.Â
- Assist with revisions and printing requests for the School of Nursing and COHSÂ
- Complete special tasks including but not limited to fingerprinting students and faculty, completing special reports and documents, and arranging room assignments. Â
- Organize and maintain student/employee filesÂ
- Maintain program, student and employee forms and packetsÂ
- Assist supervisor with planning, organizing and recording minutes for monthly faculty meetings. Â
- Assist supervisor with planning recruitment, graduation and community of interest events.Â
- Assist supervisor with processing purchase orders, check requests and mileage reportsÂ
- Assist supervisor with printing and mailing student information, orientation, and admission information.Â
- Assist supervisor with planning and coordination of student and faculty orientationsÂ
- Remain cross-trained on other student services positions to provide student assistance during employee absencesÂ
- Track and organize program applications Â
- Maintain an effective working relationship with University personnel, students and the communityÂ
- Maintain a clean and organized working environmentÂ
- Demonstrate exceptional adherence to work schedulesÂ
- Demonstrate exceptional adherence to University, COHS and School of Nursing, Policies/procedures.Â
