Job summary:
Responsible for performing a variety of produce preparation duties such as prepping and packaging while offering extraordinary customer service.
Summary of essential job functions:
- Immediately greets all customers and ensures customer satisfaction
- Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
- Wash, peel and/or cut various foods to prepare for packaging.
- Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for recipes.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Prepare items such as guacamole, pico de gallo, salads and other items following recipes.
- Package produce items for sale following company guidelines.
- Rotate, stock and cull through all sales floor produce items on a minimum of a daily basis.
- Store and label food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
- Prepare a variety of foods according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures.
- Inform supervisors when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly.
- Complete specials projects and other duties as assigned

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
- Timely and consistent attendance.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and use organizational skills
- 1-2 Year previous produce experience preferred.
