Role Summary:

The Commercial Loan Processor’s primary responsibility is to prepare various types of new and renewed commercial, loan documentation. To ensure lien perfection on all collateral, complete loan booking, maintenance, and process loan disbursements.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Document various types of loans utilizing the LaserPro software system, including commercial, SBA loans and construction loans.
  2. Work collaboratively and as a team member with the production assistants and loan officers to facilitate smooth and timely processing of all loan requests.
  3. Completes booking and disbursing loans, posting fees to the correct general ledgers for remittance of fees and charges.
  4. Perfect collateral accurately and timely to ensure credit unions lien position based on instruction outlined in request for loan documents.
  5. Accurately upload loans in the Commercial Loan Servicing System (DNA) using the LaserPro interface.
  6. Prepare wires in accordance with company standards and guidelines.
  7. Review for accuracy fellow commercial loan processors' work, identifying any deficiencies or errors needing correction.
  8. Work as a team member of the Commercial Services team to assure the highest and most professional level of service to Credit Union members, both internal and external.
  9. Display leadership values such as mutual respect, trust and dignity, and act in the best interest of the Credit Union. Lead by example by always displaying solid ethics and integrity.
  10. Maintain a high level of confidentiality relative to member’s information.
  11. Must possess the ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing.
  12. Continuously keep supervisor informed of member and work concerns, as well as assignment status through reporting or meetings
  13. Attend credit union training or seminars as approved by supervisor. Maintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities. Including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities
  14. Comply with all credit union policies and procedures regarding areas of assignment and responsibility.

 

About You:

  1. Proven business development skills
  2. Thorough knowledge of credit services and other credit union services
  3. Thorough knowledge of lending policies and procedures
  4. Thorough knowledge of business cash flow
  5. Proficient computer skills with collaboration and productivity tools including Windows-based operating systems and office suites (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); spreadsheet applications to organize data used for advanced data analysis; internet; email; and bank software.
  6. Effective oral and written communication skills
  7. Ability to understand small business relationships and provide options that will meet their needs.
  8. Ability to converse with business owners.
  9. Ability to achieve a high sales level in business development and cross sales.
  10. Ability to organize, prioritize and respond simultaneously to multiple tasks and requests.
  11. Ability to work well in and contribute to a cohesive team environment.
  12. Effectively communicate ideas and information, both verbal and written.
  13. Display and maintain courtesy, tact and diplomacy with current and potential vendors, peers and staff.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  1. Must have the ability to accept instruction, prioritize and follow through on work assignments with minimal supervision.
  2. Excellent computer skills using Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Excel & MS Word).
  3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to verify and double check work.
  4. Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks under tight timeframes.
  5. Minimum 2-4 years clerical/data entry experience and computer proficiency required, 1-2 years’ experience working with Laser Pro documentation system desired.
  6. Working knowledge of general real estate terminology.
  7. Professional conduct which includes a neat and corporate appearance, including punctual and excellent attendance.
  8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to be a team player with a positive outlook.
  9. Knowledge of NCUA and State of Washington compliance and regulatory environment for Member Business Lending.

Salary Range:

$24.34-$36.50
