Role Summary:

The Maintenance Technician Level II reports to the Facilities Manager/Team Leader. This position provides general oversite for third party vendors performing work within the Credit Union buildings or on Credit Union property. Provides general maintenance to the credit union’s facilities and grounds as assigned by the Facilities Manager/Team Leader. Responsible for ensuring credit union buildings and properties are clean (free of debris) and safe.  Performs secure credit union Courier Service.  Performs other related duties as assigned by Facilities Manager/Team Leader.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Operate a motor vehicle for the purpose of transporting oneself to and from different facilities, transporting mail, supplies/materials, and tools as required between facilities
  2. Supervise testing and repairs of HVAC & Electrical work in the absence of a Regional Maintenance Team Lead
  3. Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved by supervisor.  Maintain awareness of regulations related to maintenance duties and responsibilities
  4. Complete all daily tasks in a prompt and efficient manner
  5. Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.  Follow all guidelines and policies for physical and cybersecurity. Consistently displaying respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge
  6. Keep supervisor advised of status of all major projects as well as concerns
  7. Perform daily general maintenance duties including moving boxes, supplies and equipment. Perform routine preventative maintenance, to include picking up trash and general cleaning up around facilities
  8. Process interoffice mail and parcels securely (when filling in or assigned duties for Courier as required) and within prescribed timeframes
  9. Must understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities.
  10. Maintain primary storage areas, transport boxes and supplies from storage area to credit union branches and departments
  11. Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor
  12. Display mutual respect, trust, and dignity, acting in the best interest of the credit union. Lead by example by displaying solid work ethics and integrity at all times.  Control risk and manage operations in a safe and sound manner
  13. Ensure that all credit union properties are free of hazardous conditions and perform inspections as required by supervisor to ensure compliance with Gesa policy and procedures
  14. Assist and monitor outside vendors and contractors ensuring that the credit unions best interests are maintained
  15. Working knowledge of structural elements, basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, to include diagnostic procedures as requires to fully maintain each facility assigned

 

About You:

  1. Possess and maintain a thorough knowledge of maintenance required to sustain credit union facilities
  2. Working indoors in a professional atmosphere
  3. Working outdoors in inclement weather conditions to include extreme temperatures both hot and cold
  4. Understanding and working knowledge of blueprints and electrical schematics
  5. Basic carpentry skills, to include changing outdoor hardware
  6. Ability and working knowledge of hand tools to include hammers, saws, pliers, cutters, and levels
  7. Basic knowledge and skills with electrical equipment to include testers and power tools
  8. Skilled in one or more of these areas painting, electrical or HVAC maintenance
  9. Valid driver’s license and the ability to fuel, check fluids and maintain a clean vehicle
  10. Work well in a team environment
  11. Be computer literate with a working knowledge of Micro Soft Word, Outlook, Excel, and daily logging into Payroll time sheets

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience or equivalent education and experience
  3. Experience with standard building maintenance
  4. Demonstrate and sustain interpersonal skills to relate effectively and professionally to members, the public, and colleagues
  5. Some travel will be required to fulfill duties and responsibilities
