Role Summary:

Provides service to customers involving receipt and payment of cash and cash items under general supervision.  Recognizes customers’ needs and suggests and sells bank services.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Manages and balances a cash drawer in an efficient and accurate manner.
  2. Recognizes customer’s needs and advises customer of the benefits of bank services; refers customer to appropriate person or department or sells service or product.
  3. Receives cash and/or checks for deposit to checking and savings accounts.
  4. Cashes checks in accordance with bank policy.  Pays savings withdrawals.
  5. Maintains confidentiality of customer account information.  Follows established policies and procedures in responding to inquiries and requests.
  6. Sells cashier’s checks. 
  7. Buys and sells Canadian currency at appropriate exchange rate. 
  8. Accepts safe deposit box rental fees; assists customers with box entry.
  9. Accepts loan and contract collection payments.
  10. Assists customers with stop payments, account inquiries and telephone transfers.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  1. Cash handling and customer service experience
  2. Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and co-workers
  3. Basic computer skills; ability to operate programs specific to job function
  4. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as adding machines, fax machines, and copiers

$16.87 - $22.85
