Role Summary:

Supervises the activities of the Teller and Customer Service Staff.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assists tellers in locating cash discrepancies, manages unusual window transactions, and answers difficult customer questions.
  • Acts as vault teller; oversees vault levels and daily vault verification; balances and supplies ATM as required.
  • Opens and maintains various types of accounts and bank services for new and existing customers. Recognizes customer’s needs and advises regarding the benefits of bank services.
  • Assists in selecting, terminating, motivating, counseling, scheduling of vacations and time off, evaluating the performance of and recommending salary adjustments for staff.
  • Trains and cross-trains to effectively and efficiently handle branch duties and needs. Plans and delegates duties among staff.
  • Signs Cashier’s Checks, approves GL entries, and authorizes checks and large deposits within established limits.
  • Performs a variety of clerical duties which may include: accepting and sending wire transfers; processing stop payments; balancing certain General Ledger accounts. Oversees and/or performs branch certifications. Controls cash items and suspense items.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Sales and management skills
  • Extensive bank product knowledge
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and co-workers
  • Intermediate computer skills; ability to operate programs specific to job function
