Role Summary:

The Consumer Lending Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for quality assurance of processes and procedures within the Consumer Lending Departments. Responsible to create and maintain a system to conduct audits for accuracy of processes and required documentation while ensuring proper records are maintained in applicable systems. Ensure though the audit process that staff are adhering to all regulations, policies, procedures and checklists. This position functions as a strategic partner within the business by building effective relationships, understanding the business processes and communicating audit findings effectively to leadership.   

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Create and maintain processes for the reporting and tracking of document errors and quality assurance measurables.
  2. Audit to quality measurables as outlined in Consumer Underwriting Guidelines, Operational Policy, department checklists and processes outlined by the AVP of Consumer Underwriting and the AVP of Document Processing.
  3. Perform operational and procedurals audits, report findings in various formats such as reports, presentations, graphs, flow charts, etc. Actionable items will be reported on a monthly basis or as needed based on the severity of the findings.
  4. Serve on assigned project teams as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  5. Preform quality testing for underwriting, document processing, and indirect funding.
  6. Develop quality assurance standards and look to continuously enhance processes.
  7. Collect, analyze, interpret, and document information that support audit conclusions.
  8. Willingly perform other job-related projects and duties as assigned, self-initiating assistance to team members when appropriate.
  9. Conduct SLA (service level agreement) analysis.
  10. Assists with development of checklists, policies, and procedures as assigned by management.
  11. Maintain awareness of changes to laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures which impact duties and responsibilities of the position. Provide training to staff as needed.
  12. Ensure compliance of all local, state, and federal laws/regulatory requirements as related to the functional areas of the job, including Truth in Lending, Reg B, Reg Z, and Bank Secrecy Act.
  13. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, lending regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  14. Display mutual respect, trust, and dignity, while acting in the best interest of the credit union following all policies and procedures as expected by management. Lead by example by always displaying a high level of ethics and integrity.
  15. Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
  16. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years consumer lending experience required.
  3. Some travel is required to complete credit union training and/or fulfill duties.
  4. Ability and willingness to display courtesy, tact, and diplomacy with peers and staff.
  5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

$28.16-$42.24
