Description

We are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and highly motivated Compliance Specialist to help with ensuring that tenant files are accurate and adhere to HUD regulations. This role supports audits and inspections, trains site staff, and coordinates with managers to maintain compliance with housing program standards at Gabriel Towers in Kansas City, MO!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Review tenant files for accuracy and compliance with HUD regulations.
  • Prepare for and assist with MORs (Management and Occupancy Reviews), REAC inspections, and other audits and inspections to ensure compliance standards are met.
  • Train site staff on compliance procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with managers to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed records of tenant files and compliance activities.
  • Correct file issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure housing program compliance through regular monitoring and reporting.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance or a related field, preferably within the housing or property management sector.
  • Experience with HUD regulations and housing program compliance.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting audits and inspections.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and maintaining tenant files.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with site staff and managers.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools for record-keeping and compliance tracking.
